i actually already have xfire i just dont use it much because my computer is in dire need of formatting for several reasons. 1 being xfire randomly kicked me out of games and completely just made the game process disappear. I havent used it in a couple months but ill try jumping on today see if the same problem occurs.

another noobish question. I really really suck at driving air vehicles. then yesterday i saw some dude doing backflips and barrel rolls and all this other crazy stuff dodging rockets. I just sat there the whole time staring in amazement. any noob tips on how to fly those air things or is it 1 of those things you gotta buy a joystick and the proper hardware to move it like that.

I use a keyboard and mouse, but I turned the sensitivity up a notch and it works fine. :9

It depends, 1st off I want to inform you that true barrel rolls are not possible in 2142 and I will not start the great arguement again. Now to the skills needed, the 2 aspects you need to grasp is that the gunship was based off of a mix of the BF2 chopper and jet, so there for need 2 attack styles, heli and jet.
Heli-Use your wasd keys and the mouse for precision attacks and elimination, and steady flying.
Jet- use Wasd keys and arrow keys this allows you to give constant movement and not rapidly moving the mouse and messing up loop. This attack style should be used when fighting enemy gunships for performing evasive manuvers or keeping up with an enemies manuvers, but this is not as accurate as the mouse and therefore should not be used while assaulting ground based units which are fairly small.

He didn't last too long. I got him with my 5th missile.

Silly rabbit made a bad decision to stay engaged with another gunship over a SAAW gunner. What was that line from 16 tons? "... if the left don't get you, the right one will... 16 tons, what what do you get? 1 more kill and another ship dead ! ! ! ! !"

at least, I think the lyrics went along those lines

now im even more confused. let me just add that last night i found 1 of those planes in the middle of nowhere so i hijacked it. as soon as i took off my plane started going backwards even though i was pressing W (what i assumed was forward like in every other thing) and then there fire and blood and tears everywhere
