How can anyone say that in scavenge you just do the same thing every time but ignore the fact versus is the same? Versus is all about rushing the optimum route trying to ran as far as your little legs will take you. Scavenge has you exploring the maps, no longer can you go camp out in impossible to hit spot, you have to move around the whole map in every nook and cranny.

Scavenge has an interesting risk/reward balance - how many cans do we take back on each trip to the genny? The more cans the better time, yet you'll be much more vunerable to attacks. Versus on the other hand has a completely fucked risk/reward balance with no downsides to grabbing every health kit (whereas in scavenge you don't really have time to be healing constantly) survivors always have green health and 4 back-up kits, the levels are so short and easy to rush if you're taking kits it's actually pretty damn difficult to not make it to the saferoom, then it comes down to the messed up infected damage (which is next to completely irrelivant).

Long story short - versus kids don't like scavenge because it requires dynamic decision making that goes beyond "where should we bitch the tank?"

I like versus in theory but in practice it comes down to which team abuses bitch spots or mayor imbalances.

As far as kicks go, it doesn't even bother me. I just find another game.
