Thread: Latest patch location?

I know I should know this, but BF2 stopped working on my comp a while ago and I've just decided to reinstall it and i dont know where I can d/l the latest patch. I did update PunkBuster.
Edit: I'm not sure if my mic will work, it usually only works when the 'talk' button is pressed, but i'm not sure if it will. The mic test during the install did nothing, as there was no talk button.

Although I did download the patch & installed it (which took a few hours) when I opened BF2, it said 1.2 something when it should have said 1.41. Also, I have PnkBusterA and PnkBusterB running, but I'm not sure whether there should be another one. I did update PunkBuster.

Don't forget to download the Tampa map after you get 1.41 up and running. Tampa can be found here:

This is why BF2 stopped working the first time it did on my comp: whenever I try to play a game, even single-player, BF2 just ends, wihtout a warning. there was a thread about this, called 'Dumped to Desktop', but I don't recall if its still around.
Edit: I'll try to fix it in a few weeks, becasue this is making my blood boil, but for now I'll just play Age of Mythology The Titans expansion. A league for that would be awesome. Hint, hint.

Make sure you have the BF2.exe and all the PnkBusterA and PnkBusterB.exes allowed in your firewall. If you already had them there and uninstalled the game, delete them from the firewall and re add them back, see if that helps.

PnkBusterA and PnkBusterB.exe are located in your WINDOWS/ system 32 folder, and PnkBusterB.exe is also in Battlefield 2/ PB folder.
