yes..it is PB related

manually get it updated
and make sure your firewall is letting it go across

also...are you sure is 9009 and not 9006?
also...what is your operating system..XP or vista?

Yeah... I'm getting this shit now too. I've manually updated punkbuster and all that... I'm using Vista.

Between this and the EA Master Server connection, 2142 is quickly becoming unplayable.

If I was going to play source, I'd have to go with CS.

Anyone know anything that fixes this? I'll search through those forums tomorrow if I get a chance.

There's been a problem with this for the last month or so and EvenBalance issued what was supposed to be a fix on May 10th. I got the update via PBSetup earlier this week I believe. PBSetup should report your client version is v2.057 | A1375. If you're having problems, repor them via the support forums.
