POS Voip issues
I did some searches and the things I found I did and it didn't work so........
Now I am still having a stupid problem. I think it may be hardware related though.
My IT manager updated my soundcard driver and now I have no VOIP. Not just mic but all voip is gone. I not only can not talk on my mic, I can’t hear game voip chatter either.
I go into the game (I have also done this outside of the game) and set the audio to have voip. I run the mic test and hear myself. When I join the game for about 5 seconds or so, or until my first death, I have the mic symbol but I can not hear anyone nor can they hear me.
I completely uninstalled and deleted all traces of the game from my machine, even in the registry. With a full install the problem still remains.
Any ideas?

Re: POS Voip issues
Blaming EA may be a joke, but I have seriously logged in twice recently where my voip didn't work. I was talking to myself and didn't realize it, then I would log off and back in, and it would start working.
Probably not your issue, but in case anyone else is wondering about temporary issues. I had a few.

Just played a very fun RVS game. More should play!
Good times. A bunch of very good pubs in an all random lobby where everyone talked and not one person quit the whole game. We kicked a little kid early, we picked up a mic'r, and proceeded to win an exceedingly close game on the The Parish (until the last level where we wrecked them and I got the insta kill ).
Damn man why don't more people play this mode? I wish it were more popular. It is really refreshing playing a game of RVS with people who talk. My team was not in try-hard mode at all either, they were straight cracking jokes and cuttin up the whole time it was funny as hell. But we all stuck close and communicated. I don't think it was anybody's best game, but it was a fun game, and it was nice that we couldn't freelance around like rambo witht he luxury of neon highlights.
Too bad the mode is marred with noobies and ss'rs... sigh...:waves:

People don't play Realism Versus because they are busy setting new conditions to Versus. No autoshotties, no kits, no defibs... and eventually; no primary, only a single pistol, and no health items. Ask me why no one who thinks they are good avoid Realism... well I think it speaks for itself.
I personally don't play it for a few reasons. I'm not much of a talker, I'm not used to no glows, and quite frankly I suck at it. Plus nobody else likes it.
I think all the tryhard Versus players should try Realism against good Realism players(however many exist). For one, they would get creamed from not taking kits and two, be totally confused at why the almighty autoshottie doesn't do what they think it does in Versus. That is, if they decide to take that "noob weapon" of course. Egos would drop a good 100 points or so.
