Ouch. You have a GeForce FX 5500. That's an ENTRY level card from 2003. To give you a little comparison. My G3D Mark score is somewhere around 3700 points. Yours is 55.

I really don't think you are going to get it running with that card. You should go pick up something more recent (even something in the 70 dollar range would be an immense improvement over what you have).

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

If I buy new video card, will I have much more fps than buying new processor in source games?

EDIT: Is RAM very important in L4D? I have 1.5gb, is it ok?

You are going to be limited in something any way you look at it. 1.5 GB of ram is actually a bit more than the minimum requred. The CPU is a bit low as well. The MINIMUM is a single core 3ghz Pentium 4, but the sempron will likely be OK even though the clock rate is much lower (1.5ghz).

Your biggest issue right now is the video card. The MINIMUM is a Geforce 6600 and you are a full generation behind on that.

Any way you look at it, your computer is very low end for gaming. If it's at all possible you might want to look at just getting a new computer. You can get a reasonable gaming computer these days for under 600 dollars and a GOOD gaming computer for around 1000.

    Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card (11192-22-20G)

That card is moderately low end as far as today's gaming standards go (it's actually on passmarks high end chart but at the lower end of it), but it's about 30 times as fast as your current card and only 65 dollars.

    Newegg.com - iBUYPOWER Gamer Power 562D3 Desktop PC AMD FX-Series FX-4100(3.6GHz) 8GB DDR3 500GB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6670 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

There's a complete gaming pc for 529 dollars that would last you a few years (or if your current system is any indication, quite a few years) and should be able to play just about anything you want to throw at it even Battlefield 3.

    Hope that helps some.
