    Neat little trickoid

Red and I discovered this last night. If you have armor right adjacent to the Railgun, the shield from the armor will protect it. I don't know if it will work for all armor, but it worked great with a tank on Verdun at Valley Farm.

    Good times.

You are right. It did work well except for the damage it got from the tank backing into it several times. You need to get a back up beeper for that tank!!

I thought Phaedro was a tree So I kept ramming backwards to stay hull down behind that hill. Little did I know I was simultaneously squashing his rorsche and saving the day with my shield. Still, it worked, and it worked even better when phaedro let me know that I was using him as a braking device

I think the quote was "Red, you make a better door than window."

Ive noticed that when your armor gets killed, the shield kinda has an afterglow...
    I wonder...
Me: "But the Gunslinger is so much more fun..."
Langrad: "We're here to win, not to..."
    Me: "Have fun?" "Hahaha"

That works for all armor and infantry so long as they are close enough to be inside or behind the protecting armor's shields.

you can also take cover by using armor shields when you are infantry. The shield radius covers a large area around the armor. Never thought to apply it on a rail gun though. A nice way to use this advantage is when someone is fixing your armor it would be nice to protect him with the shield from infantry fire.

Actually Pasha, the shield won't protect infantry from conventional infantry and machine gun fire. It'll save infantry from those tank shells and apc grenades though and everything else the shield blocks, which is everything except normal bullets.
