Re: Any suggestions for Future Versions.
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot cause i really found no other place but how about a bigger map with a C-130 on it. you would be able to drop Tanks, Jeeps, ect and supply crates as well as humans inside the units. For this to sucessfully happen you would need to come within 15 feet of the ground as dipected in this picture
and supplies could be dropped from a higher altitude

also on a diffrent map or the same there would also be a attack verson of the C-130 called the AC-130
i realize this would require a bigger map but i beleve it would make it more real and exciting

Re: Any suggestions for Future Versions.
Not sure if it's been mentioned of if this Forum even matters anymore (since it's after June). I would Really love to see a Mortar Kit. I'm not sure how it would work... I guess you would need a spotter really. The Idea would be to have one squad basicly have to call in a mortar attack From a different squad giving Grid and Key pad coordinates... and then have to call back and adjust fire to walk the rounds in on the actual target. Mortars would maybe only cary 12 ? and maybe only one or two Kits per team.
I think this would be more realistic than having it an asset from the Commander (like Arty Strikes) due to the limited range of Mortars (much less than Arty, much more than the grenade launchers). And again... it reinforces the idea driving project reality... coordinated team work.

Mortars
Just incase anyone had questions on my suggestion of Mortar Kit.. And how it would work. This is my vision:
It would almost have to be used in a designated Mortar Squad, or at least it would be most affective for the TEAM that way. Squad consisting of at least a Officer, and a Mortar Kit but would be great with a Rifleman (for the ammo bag) and maybe a Automatic Rifleman for security.
* A squad in the field would call up over team chat for a mortar strike designating a grid exp: B4 KP9
* The Mortar squad leader will Mark the grid on his map so the Mortar Kit can get dirrection and range.. and shoot off one round and wait for the Squad calling the attack to call back with any adjustments ( left, right, up, down) This will be difficult due to the difference between the direction of the Mortar Squad and the direction to target from the Observing Squad. ( so it would be better to say West, East. North, and South for corrections..). It would NOT be easy to be a Mortar Squad to put rounds in accurately, but it would be an awesome asset to have on call instead of waiting for the last 5 minutes of a round before it's available thru the commander (if there is one).
* This would also give Sniper/Recon squads something to do, since the enemy Mortar Squads would normally operate somewhere furher back behind enemy lines. So instead of The Sniper/Recon Squads hanging back they could be sent forward (like they would be in real life) to look for Key enemy assets (such as a Mortar Team) and take them out.

A mortar has been modeled and they are working on a system.

That said it may be put to use in .9 or 1.0.
About the tank firing on the run, Combined Arms is a mod for PR in which a group of guys had been further doing some physics work and other coding. From what I see they work mostly on Aircraft and Tanks, but apparently some infantry stuff too. Very cool videos on Youtube. Might as well use our own 503's videos...

Re: Any suggestions for Future Versions.
Awesome! I didn't think about having it part of a asset to be built at an Outpost, but that would work too. I bet more people would want to stayback and defent the outpost if there were Mortars there. It would give them something to do, Only problem though, is if there were a lot of outposts with Mortars, I see people dropping them mortar strikes all over making it kinda harassing. Might be too much if it's not limited somehow. Maybe they could make it that only one or two Outposts were able to build Mortar pits, and would require permission from the commander.. Kinda like the build order. But while they are thinking about adding assets to outposts... How about a Anti Tank position too? As of right now, Armor has no problems against Outposts. Probably why no one stays at them.. You're a sitting target.
