I have it and a MEC medal.So something is wrong.This is strange I got it and I don't have my rank as First Sgt. I understand that it is the same thing but can you skip ranks

I wold love to know.

You have to have the medals before you hit 20,000 points to get First Sergeant. If you have awards you get First Sergeant. If you don't, you get Master Sergeant. No other way to get First Sergeant now. Just focus on what you need to get Sergeant Major now. It's another split rank. You can either get Mastery Gunnery Sergeant or Sergeant Major. To earn MGS you just need 50k points. to get Sergeant Major you need 50k points PLUS Basic Armor Badge, Basic Transport Badge, Basic Helicopter Badge, Basic Aviator Badge, Basic Air Defense Badge, Basic Ground Defense Badge.
