7 Member squad?

I was kicked this weekend by an admin (for not being in a squad) and I wanted the admin to know that I was in a squad or at least my screen showed me in a squad and I was following orders and communicating with that squad. I always and I mean always squad up or start a squad if there isn't an open one. My question is I noticed there was 7 squad members (i didn't join the squad, server put me in) and I tried to leave but it wouldn't let me leave what do I do?
Also this is not a complant. Just looking for good advice so it don't happen again. I don't like being called a punk. LOL

The 7 man squad is an idication of the dreaded "squad bug" or "squad glitch".

I'd be guessing pretty safely that A) You didn't even have to join this squad, you started right up in it, B) Not a single person acknowledged you over mic or in in-squad text, C) No matter how hard you tried, you could not leave the squad, join another squad, apply for commander.

To the admins, you will appear unsquaded, hence the kick. More and more the squad bug has become commonly known.. welcome to the commonality

Only way to get rid of it is for an admin to restart the server, or for you to leave the server and rejoin it (it will fix it for you).

haha Now that you've been made aware of the squad bug and it's common symptoms, you can no longer say "I was in a squad, why did you kick me? ...Well, there were 7 people in the squad, and no one seemed to be able to hear me, but I was in the squad, I swear!"

Next time this happens.....because it probobly will....just type in "all chat" ADMIN...7 man squad bug. This will let the admin know that you are glitched,and they wont kick you. The glitch usually goes away when the next map loads.

Carl, this has probably happened to all of us at least once (not every gets kicked cause there might not be an admin present) but just know that the kick wasn't personal - next time just disconnect and reconnect.

I once got a screenie of a 10 man squad. Pretty cool.

If it doesn't go away after the next map load, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect. Unfortunately from the admin console, it appears you're unsquadded. It happens to us all... you just have to move on...

Thanks guys I know what to do now. Oh and the 10 man squad WOW. Walker I did notice nobody was answering me just didn't pay a lot of attention to it use to the odd squads not having or using there mic's. I feel so bad being called a punk. LOL

The only real way to get prevented is if you get warned let the admin know you have the squad glitch and I'm sure they'll understand. Though sometimes it is nice having a larger squad then just 6 men.

True.. the funny thing about the glitch is that even though you can't communicate with them, you still see the SL's map orders and can spawn green (at least in BF2 ya can).
