    im building a walker!

well more a less me and a freind have began nthe long tedious process of trying to convert a computer case in a moving walker this of course in the end will have hardware design this is prob gonna take the better half of a year . bounce some ideas off me . im thinking the tower will be the main battlement and ill use resign castes for the outr armor. but the legs and the moving engine will be trickey . we are gonna try to build the resieg.

    Re: im building a walker!

I would say it would be easier to just go buy some sheet metal and build the outer shell before trying to do the computer tower portion of it. Also depends on the budget...

My guessing for what you will need...
    lots of sheet metal
    tin snips
if you have an air tank get the metal shear attachment
    rivets
    rivet gun
    bench vise
    rubber mallet
    dead blow hammer
hand held torch for bending the metal with less kinks
    sturdy table
if you really want to get into it a welder
1" tubing and hole saw for guns also some plywood for the mounting

As far as assembly I would suggest making the overall mobo/cpu slide into it or to have one of the sides hinged

run a power cable extender up from one of the legs...

good luck man, just take your time and make it look clean.... then ebay it ;-p

Look at the walker picture above- Even notice how it looks like a smiley-face? Well, a twisted half-smile of doom, anyway. With the sensors as eyeballs, a vertical mark on the sensor turret looking like a nose, and a big, flat forehead?
