New BF2 patch?

Apparently there are new rumors of a new BF2 patch based on a recent podcast from DICE.

Bah they gave 2142 a new patch and new maps already..and BF2 is way better than that game.

I'm not holding my breath for this patch and if it does happen it should have happened last year.

Maybe there's some connection with the upcoming patch and all the server crashes tonight - and it's not just the TTP server. Scanning down my list of favorites about half had been restarted with less than 10 players several times.

The server crash hack has been out for awhile. You think EA will give a damn? If they did we would be playing at least 3-4 more new maps or even have EF compatible to run with vanilla maps.
