To all you awesome choppa pilots...
Thanks. A lot. You all have me so gunshy that at Daqing at the refinery I was so wrapped up in trying to take the flag... That when I looked up and saw an attack chopper pointed right at me and firing, I whipped the tank turret up and BLAM. Shot the sucker out of the sky. I was too busy celebrating my tank vs chopper kill to realize something until Kelderos goes "whoa... what was that?!" that something wasn't quite right. It took another 20-30 seconds of searching my memory and turning on my internal Identify Friend Foe to realize that I just tagged a cobra with my own guys in it. AND IT WASN'T JUST MY OWN TEAM... IT WAS MY OWN SQUAD!!!
And later, with that fresh in my mind I looked up and again saw a gunship pointed at me and hesitated... only to have a TV take my atoms and disperse them around the battlefield in a fine red mist.
So thank you. Thank you ever so much.

Re: To all you awesome choppa pilots...
I've done this... and it sure you feel like crap.
So, before I fire, I will take a quick look at the mini-map to see if friendly are in the area; and it's a VERY quick glance at the MINI-MAP. That usually tells me that the chopper is not friendly, because he either is not on the map, or shown as red.
It's best to take the time to verify and get blasted if need be; then to remove your chopper team from the battlefield.
Once the chopper loses the upper hand, it's usually a bit difficult to get off the ground after that point; depending on who the enemy is.
But,most players will surely understand an accidental Team kill; it's the guys who go around screwing with players that need to be handled.
I blasted a JET last week on Kubra Dam, while he was lining up to shoot a rocket at me, I turned my turret, looked up, lined up, and blasted. It was insane! The jet was only about 75 feet above the ground, lining me up; then he came to a screeching halt when my missile landed right in the nose of the Jet; looked like he had run into a wall.
