Why doesnt my Northern Strike Work?

so like, i just downloaded northern strike and installed it. So i go and join a new map on the servers and it doesnt work... says the server only lets people with Unmotifed versons join, says to revert to the offical verson, and it only happens with northern strike maps... any help? i have tried installing the 1.50 patch but it doesnt work, maybe uninstall it then reinstal? but then the game requires a 1.4 or higher verson to even install northern strike, ahh!

This is a serious problem for many 2142 gamers. I've had it myself. What you have to do is:

First Solution: Uninstall the patches and Northern Strike. Download the patch, then install Northern Strike, then repatch it which means uninstall the patch and completely install every patch again once Norther Strike is installed.

Second Solution: Completely reinstall everything.

There is no easy solution to solve this, I had to reinstall everything and I've had this problem 3 times now hopefully it won't come back.

I had this issue as well, back when we didn't know how to fix it.

After you install Northern Strike, you need to re-apply the 1.5 patch. The 'Unmodified content' error means you're running an old version of the Northern Strike maps, which is true since Northern Strike came out around the 1.2 patch.

ok, i keep reinstalling 1.5 even after i installeed NS, maybe i should remove the patch somehow then put it back in, hopefully it will fix the prob? i also tried uninstalling everything, then installing 1.4 then NS then 1.5, but didnt work... i hate EA...

Always the last resort is to contact EA. Some of the members have went as far as doing that and have actually received respectable help.

Ok RAGE you just have to have patience. EA sucks and we all know it so we are here to help.

First thing you have to do is completely uninstall 2142 and all of it’s files…(don’t worry if you have players and kits that you have records of, EA does do something right and keeps them in your profile. You won’t loose them.)

Second; restart your machine.
Third; install 2142
Fourth; install patch 1.5
Fifth; restart your machine (this helps to insure the game settings are saved)
Sixth; install Northern Strike
Seventh; install patch 1.5 again
Eighth; restart your machine

You should be good to go. If not, you may have to completely uninstall 2142 from your registry. But we can address that if it comes up.
