Tonight we went through a streak where we were getting out asses handed to us. People were saying it was stacked. We had 5 squads with only one person. I don't remember the names, but they were all regulars who I see SL sometimes.

I don't believe for a minute that team stacking happens more here than other places.

I don't think it happens here any more than anywhere else either... What I *have* begun doing lately is when we are getting that smackdown, I check the airfields. And SOMETIMES, not all, there's a bunch of people hanging around doing nothing. I noticed a 3 star general standing in the hanger for a full five minutes on clean-sweep recently whilst I was defending airfield. Some other time it's squad leaders that are inexperienced and commandeering a tank or air asset and their squad can't spawn on them... Or squad leaders that don't care to actually lead their squad... There's a ton of reasons why it can seem lopsided without it actually being team-stacking.

I was all-but-ready to decide that it was the air maps that were the worst when I took an ass whuppin for about 6 rounds when karkand rotated in... lo-and-behond the ass whuppin stopped. We still lost but it was close. And I was all "AHA!!!" until the next round where we once again got an ass whuppin. Lt Dan returned to kickin my ass... My head once again became a magnet for random pieces of lead (I KNOW lead isn't magnetic... it amazes me as well!!) And I think I cried just a little bit.

Bottom line for me is... Kill people. Cap flags. And do your job. It's hard not to get discouraged now and then, but you do get to be on the other end of the stick now and then.

I came in on the final half of the domination and squaded with Mill. Our squad was actually doing something and the rest, well no so much...THEN came Highway Tampa, I created a squad filled with chaos, jester, 60 minutes, kk, and I don't remember the last one (sry chew me out if it was you). I told them, "If we win this one we are going to win the next maps to come." I tell my squad to defend Gas station while the other squads take flags, total of 3 squads (a lot of people left). I'll tell you something, we never lost that flag and we faced waves of 6 to 7 pieces of armor at a time. We won that round and at the end chaos tells me that is the most fun he has ever had on that map and because he said that, he persuaded me to be squad leader the rest of the day. That is my highlight of the day.

Just tough out the stacked teams. Either they will eventually even out or who knows Highway Tampa may come around the corner :9

That was the most fun I had squading up with players "THAT WANT TO WORK AS A TEAM." If you play with a bunch of shmucks that dont want to take orders or just run around and do their own things,it makes for a lousy round which results in a loss.Just work at it and find people who you know work as a team.It makes the game alot more fun.

The perception of stackage usually occurs when one side has (much) more high profile regs than the other. They will steamroll over the other side by solid squadwork, superior airpower and of course, leet skills.

My view is that this happens less now than before, and changes quicker than before. And the reason for this is awareness among the regs. We all know enjoyment goes down the drain when you lose by 200 tickets every damn round for hours. And that in turns makes the server less attractive, and none of us want that. So we take responsibility. Maybe not the first round, but after a couple of rounds, people start to move, and we get the good games again.

Without threads like this one, and even the really ugly ones, that awareness would not be present. So every one of those threads have served a purpose. And they have, imo, made things better.

Hate these threads all you want. But since I came here, there have never been more regs switching to the losing side than right now. It's never going to be perfect, but it doesn't have to. As long as we all take responsibility for "our" server and the quality of gameplay for all 60 of us, this server will remain the best.

But yeah, teach the noobs and make them regs too, and it is legal to just reply "baseraping is legal on this server" when a new guy throws a tantrum on the carrier.
