Thread: Poll: What would your ideal 2142 map mode configurations be for the servers?

Well, my preference would be two mixed, but unlike Frau (Ooo, maybe this will get me spanked! :P) not the same rotation on each. I'd do one "stock" as described, and the other one would be the "funky" one. That's where NS maps would go, including Titan versions. Drop off "less liked" maps in favor of the occasional "non-stock" version- Conquest Sidi, whatever. So the second would be the "grab bag" where we mess around with the map list more frequently to keep it fresh, and the first would be the good old standards.

I have no idea whatsoever what that is supposed to mean. I would say there are more in the 5th that feel differently than I do, than there are that agree with me, in regards to map selection and server style.

I'm not sure what this has to do with our clan, or why you would suggest that we are substandard gamers. I thought we were talking about what our personal ideal setups would be... so I'm a little lost on that one. I would humbly suggest that newer maps will almost always find their way into a top5, but hey, I could be wrong. Why do I hear the groans? I guess its because a lot of folks don't enjoy that map. For the record, i like tampa.

It feels like at times that 5th is being singled out for not doing everything... but I assure we do a whole lot from priming to commanding to encouraging everyone we can find to come here and register. Even when I play other places i try to bring people back here with me...sometimes we prime the servers back to back without even really being able to play!

Believe me, we want this place to be just as great as you do, that is why we are here, and thats why we take our lumps from people and keep on chugging.

Well regardless I am sorry you feel that way...the topic of this post was "what is YOUR ideal setup".

All I did was express what I felt, to answer the question this poll is asking...because our preference for maps or the various styles of play that 2142 offers doesn't necessarily have a mirror image, that doesn't mean we are substandard gamers who want less than 100% teamplay and fun for everyone, or that we are regressive run and gun types. Certainly not.

I have nothing but respect for this community and the way that it totally, radically, changed the way I game. I don't even think I would play FPS games anymore if TTP had not shown me the light...i didn't even think places like this existed! The friends i've made, the clan we created, the untold hundreds of hours of nothing put pure...joy...this place has brought me...its insane.

Replace 5th with resident clan member.

I hate it not enough air cover.

I haven't played Verdun in a while. Has this been taken off of the servers, or have I just missed it?
