Thread: Poll: What would your ideal 2142 map mode configurations be for the servers?

The results of this poll would in no way guarantee implementation, but rather is a way to gauge the thoughs/desires of the 2142 community who call TTP home. Without our loyal, teamworking base, where would we be?

Note: If the server went to a mixed mode variety, obviously we probably shouldn't have every map in all its available modes ...as the full rotation would be hell....but more like our initial/previous mixed mode style where the most popular mode of the map was in play. Or what other ideas would you have for a mixed mode? (hmmm perhaps a poll for that)

#1. A "mixed" server would be a full rotation, with stock modes for the maps. Titans are titan, NS are assault lines, etc. That means no more conquest titan maps like sidi and suez. No more titan on NS maps like bavaria and bridge. Stock modes, on stock maps, in full rotation, like it used to be.

#2. A Top5 server would reflect the top5 maps we've already voted on in the top5 sticky.

#3. A conquest only server would include all maps playable in conquest (essentially all maps) with NS and highway tampa as assault.

hmm interesting i have never been on a mix server so i don't know how it would be but that sounds nice you don't need to sacrifice playing the game type you want when it would be on the rotation (or something) ... i don't know what i am talking about

yes..thats mixed...we had a rotation style at one time with a server having both titan and conquest and NS/new maps on them

with a block rotation

1 conquest
1 titan
1 NS

rinse repeat till all maps were included (but each map listed only once in one mode...there wasn't a suez conquest AND a suez titan...just suez titan)

personally i voted both to be mixed....

I believe the reason for the 2nd server was because we were reaching capacity on the main
and the 2nd was to be a "rollover" so to speak

If i have to rollover, I'd prefer having the same full list of maps available to me so that it really wouldn't have to be a choice (titan or conquest / top 5 or all maps)...that way perhaps their wouldn't be abandonment issues by having to flip flop to enjoy the other style or leave one server to go to one's personal preference primary server when a slot opened....sure one server would need "priming" as we haven't reached the level of 2 full servers of regs yet I don't think..but we hope to don't we?

Also with both being mixed mode I would have the chance to play all the new maps....as they would be on both servers -- even the new ones like shingle and wake -- poor titan lots never get to see those and lose out on the experience
