Re: Will ye not dance a fine jig laddie?
Success with claymores would be a lot more impressive if it were accomplished on a server that had friendly fire on. I'm not throwing stones here, I've drop a few claymores myself, but let's face it - on a FF off server, combined with the lameness of not being able to crouch/crawl around claymores in BF2, makes claymore kills about as cheap as they come.
Still, I appreciate your colorful writing. From what i gather though, everyone (admin's included), need to have a cup of shut-the-$%^-up, take a few to chill... - Bunni

Heheh that´s true Jis...
Way to get a claymore kill: Put it on the ground where vehicles can´t blow it up and stay alive....that thing will go off 100%. I have to admit, it´s one of the easiest kills you´ll get in the game.

Re: Will ye not dance a fine jig laddie?
Jlspence,
I really only play on the TTP server now. Having said that two other servers I play when TTP is empty also have friendly fire off.
The majority of my kills over the two years have come from the medic kit. In short I felt I needed a new challenge. The sniper kit amuses me at the moment and I have discovered tactics over people have not used to the kits full ability.
When snipers generally deploy claymores, I can see them. ...And so can most other players. They are there to guard the flag. I have an entirely different approach...........
When the chips are down I defend the flag. I do so in a way that either you can not see the claymore.....Or you disregard it. That will get you thinking. There is a way to deploy.........so it interacts with what is around. Not a glitch by the way..........An old British Army Technique used when deploying apm's.
I used to just go for points when I played this game. For nearly two years I played the medic kit. Got good enough at this kit that I began to amass gold stars on quite a regular basis....And infact when I resorted to this kit on quake about two weeks ago I yet again posted a gold star.
I had about fifty team point to aid my tally. I was bored though....I still laugh hard when I see someone sprinting for a jet.......only for my claymore to rearrange his nads.
I have found a multitude of uses for the claymore. Each one bringing the heartest of laughs.
If you believe that the kills I obtain from my techniques are cheap.......Then you should play against me more often. I use my rifle to good effect as well.
I most certainly do not camp in one spot. I shoot and scoot. Move from flag to flag. I use my kit to aid my squad......
Well you are entitled to your opinion. As are others. I have found however that those that be moan not being able to crawl around claymores also moan about the multitudes of other aspects of game play....................hitbox to big, teams stacked, grenade re supply too big, AA ineffective. So on and so on. In effect non team players and grouches.
Find your niche. Enjoy the game for the games sake. Squad up and team play...BUT MOST OF ALL DO NOT USE MY PARRODY TO WHINE. IT IS HERE FOR THE HAPPY PEOPLE

Well I laughed. At the three whimsical lads, and Xav...
That said, I think we all love your posts Mil, and Xav is right, he has the same tactic in the forum as in game. He flies from populated thread to populated thread, dropping bombs on everyone. So don't sweat it too much, unless you want to. It's all good.
And Xav, I'm not out to get you in any other way than this...For when the One Great Scorer comes, to write against your name, he writes not that you won or lost, but how you played the Game
