I just bought 2142 from a friend who just got a mac. He's gonna get the mac version of 2142, so he let me have his PC version. However, the game won't let me create an account because the game code to his game is registered to his EA account.

Is there any way to un-register the code from his account? Can i get his mac code and use that? Where do i find out these things?

Nope.

I don't know that it's possible, but I would suggest you contact EA support and explain the situation and see if if they can suggest a way to remedy it. Ea support isn't known well for their help, but it is worth a shot.

Ask the your friend for his PC account info. Because after you install and register the game under an account once you cant use the code ever again the game is instead then correlated to the ea account instead of the code. So getting that account info from him is paramount. On the account of contacting Ea I don't think they would be understanding because you did not buy they game new and there is no way to distinguish your situation and the situation of someone stealing the game from someone else.

Its probably possible for him to associate his account with a different e-mail account (yours).
