BF2CDKEYCHECK.EXE
Since installing Vista Ultimate 64 bit after a cpu/mobo/ram upgrade, I've been unable to install my downloaded content from EA. Which includes Special Forces, Euro Forces, 2142, Northern Strike. I have been trying this from the backed up copy of the EA Downloader cache directory. Unfortunately it's been a bust even after dealing with EA's support guys. I just continually got an error that bf2cdkeycheck.exe had stopped working and the install would abort.
As a last resort, I reinstalled the EA Downloader and redownloaded the special forces pack. It worked.
Moral of the story? I'm not sure that installing from the cache directory that I backed up is viable. Has anyone else gone through a full reinstall of windows and installed from their EADM cache without redownloading?

*raises hand* You might also want to talk with soysoldier Kanati... he had many good tips for getting our favorite game/s working on vista64... on that note, they do tend to crash more with 64 b ut seem more stable on vista32 (having tested em both ways)

Oh I tried 2142 today - gave me a headache so I uninstalled it.
