I agree one style. My concern is that something being too dark is off putting. I know you're going to say that too light is bad, I agree so we need to compromise and get something in the middle. Maybe hold off until 3.7 and, um, see what is available then? (I know I say that everywhere but it makes sense to me). Also, I want something fluid width, not fixed like Blackhead is.

By all means start looking, but waiting would be the sensible option. Is the current default style okay for now?

If you don't mind we'll leave it as the default until you have your custom version. Then we'll throw that up instead. Try and work it so that it is fulid though.
