You know the deal, just like with BF2.. if you got questions, you know where to ask em.. if you want tours, hop in squads of people you see posting here. We're all happy to help new people get into the rhythm.. which can be tough on TTP where few of us AREN'T Brigadier Generals with everything unlocked (IE: Me, Reiskis, Bendude... anyone else?).

The upside to it is, all these brigs know what's good and what's shyte for unlocks.

I don't even know what rank I am. Second from the bottom? I don't think I have ANY weapons unlocked. Or anything else for that matter. I'm just gonna have to get back in there and keep mixing it up to get better acquainted with the game. It IS vastly different from BF2.

Yes very differnt from BF2.

No Jets. Think of the 2 aircraft as Choppers. 1 attack and 1 transport.

Well that and you can snipe with Machine guns

It has its similarities.. but in some ways you have to think opposite of what you'd normally do in BF2. Don't lay down.. unless you've got a few seconds. But if you round the corner and immediately spot an enemy, take a knee instead of diving to the ground. Or even stay standing and just aim.

It's been said many times.. but one of the first things to unlock would be the Defib and the Medic hub for the assault, the grenades for the "general unlocks" and the Beacon for the SL unlocks.

After that.. it's a lot of preference as to which class you really like to play.. but medics with paddles are almost always good to have around. Personally I've recently fallen in love with the "spec op" tree of the Recon class. But still my favorite is engineer on the AT side (not as much on the AA side).

If you've not seen it said yet.. at the stage you're at.. grab kits off of corpses... it's a great way to get a preview of unlocks you might want. Also use your Field Upgrades for the same thing.

Nice thing is.. ranks come much faster, and there's more of them (silver and gold for almost every level). And its much easier to get team related points, especially if you have an SL that's giving orders correctly, so the beginning ranks are easy to get
