Problems Staying Connected to Server?!

Hello everyone,

I have been playing on TTP Servers for a while now, under different player accounts. And ever so often I will have problems staying connected. I will join the server, the game will load fine, and after a few seconds - minutes I will get booted to that lobby and told that I lost connection.

Any help is VERY MUCH appreciated. I love playing on TTP Servers. It really stinks that I have problems as I do every now and then.

Note: I can join other servers even after I continue to lose connection to the TTP Servers and stay connected with other servers. I assume it is only related to TTP.

This sounds like the EA master server most likely. Oh, and welcome! :10

it is very much an EA master server thing. It will happens in groups 5ish as well...I remember when it used to kick about half a team at a time, so horrible. Now EA gets into little spits where it has issues. Tonight I swa it happening to the same 2 people I was playing with over and over.

Sounds like EA is at it again.

Really wish there was some way to prevent this from happening. I hate when I am able to get in with a good group and take it to the enemy

Well, I gave restarting my computer a try and it seemed to do the trick. I have had this problem before so I am sure it will return in the future. At least now I know a temporary fix.

Yep I get the same issue, not that it's a complaint though.

Because I'm a newbie to the whole games server system, could someone please elaborate the EA master server thing. I guess what I'm wondering is, are there different EA master servers, can we get a better one from EA?

From what I understand, we gamers connect to TTP and other hosts via their own game servers. These host servers in turn connect to the EA master server. Is there more than one EA master server, are we getting gypped by EA with the problem server?

To be totally honest, I've played other servers before

, though it is very rare now. Every time I played on another server, I rarely lost connection of any sort, even played for 12 hours straight with a worse ping and no issues at all

The reason I ask, is to just be able to understand what is happening every time the TTP server crashes. I still would rather crash every hour playing on TTP, than not crash all day at another host server. I just would like to be informed. We used to say in the military, that the worst thing about being on active duty, was not knowing when you where going home. The not knowing part, is all I want to fix, the server crash I can live with.

Why are some players if not everyone, booted off the server to the game menu every 1 to 2 hours? If it really is EA, how come it doesn't happen as much with other host servers? Don't they use EA too?

I've never mentioned this issue before, a bit scared of what I may receive as an answer. I just really want to know, because I have been having this problem for over a year now. Just didn't know how to bring it up, without someone thinking that I'm bitching.

I COULD GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THE CRASHING! I would rather play for only 5 minutes that day, with just you guys, than play all day with a bunch of fucking yahoos. I'm just really tired of not knowing what the fuck is happening?

If someone would be kind enough to explain why this is happening more with us, than it is with other hosts, it would be much appreciated.

thats a good question. I did not think to ask about what the EA master server was. And if it is the server why it only kicks a select few out at a time?!

However, I did seem to cure the connection problem with a reboot of my computer. So I am not sure what the deal is
