Red Latency

Howdy TTP!!
Droppin' a line and hopefully get some advice on an issue that I'm having.

I just tried to log into a TTP server. However, they are both red with only IP addresses listed. I seem to be having this issue more and more.

Anyone have any advice on what I can to to help rectify this problem?

The same happened to me a few days ago.

In the server browser, where it says "Search Name", type "Texas"

It should show up fine, add those to your favorites.

Thanks, Pants. I tried that but nothing came up. I didn't cap the "T" though. I'll try it again.

yeah, the servers were changed recently, so the IPs are different.

If you found the servers on the list and not in your favorites, and they are red then that typically means the version of the game you have on your machine is not the same as the server. Since TTP is full up to date you need to make sure you are completely patched up.

2142 is currently on patch 1.5

Also, remember the install order...

2142
Patch 1.5
Northern Strike (If you have it)
Patch 1.5
The manually update Punkbuster. (Until it tells you there are no more updates.)

I might need to manually update punkbuster now that I think about it... Could that stop me from getting NS Unlocks?

Oh, yeah the Servers changed IP's. That's why I told him to look it up.

I think capitalization is required for it to show up. Saw you on the server a hour ago, good commander.

I would say do not rely on finding TTP or any specific server on the 2142 servers list. The best way is to add friends who are regulars and join in on the game. Adding to favorites works when it wants to. Ofcourse joining by writing the IP never fails. The menu for finding a game is really messed up, i think we all have that problem from time to time.
