    New and Improved 64 slot

Well im certainly glad to see new comers coming in and registering, leaving ideas, comments, and just overall showing their appreciation.

We are glad to have ya'll aboard and hope ya'll enjoy our philosophies of teamplay and teamwork, because without ya'll... we have nothing. We need players to step up and take control of Squads or being a Commander and not being a lone wolf. It is NOT tolerated in this server, we need TEAMPLAYERS... people who step up to the challenge and lead a fair and fun fight.

Hope to see you guys on the battlefield.

RE: New and Improved 64 slot

I will need some more time in game before I am ready to jump in as a squad leader or commander, but I really enjoy being part of a well organized squad that actually communicates. There are too many servers out there where commanders dont give orders and squad leaders dont communicate to their people. So far TTP has been the most fun I have had playing a game in a while.

To New Comers and Old Timers:

Don't be afraid to try out being a Squad Leader or Commander. You have to get your feet wet somewhere and some time anyway. TTP offers a community that will allow you to be the "blundering" new Commander or "Not-So-Qualified" Squad Leader without belittling or ridiculing you openly. The environment is competitive, so be prepared for some constructive criticism, but not open hostility.

So, take the step and apply to be Commander or create a Squad and learn so you can become better.

For instance...look at me....have been both squad leader and commander...if they have let me do it...they'll let anyone jump in there!!!

There are some maps that I don't know that well, so I stay out of leadership rolls in those for now, but on the maps that I've been "boots on the ground" on the most, I don't mind taking control of a squad or even commanding....

    keep on fighting soldier !!!

The point on just going ahead and squad leading or commanding is a good one... becuz if you try to do it in the singleplayer mode it's very hard to get a good feel for it... 2: someone has to step up and be a leader (not everyone wants to lead all the time; sometimes they like to be in a squad and help others learn to be leaders); anytime i'm in leading i'm always trying to let my squad know what we are trying to accomplish (i stank in my opinion when i started but thru the help of good support in my squads those guys taught me alot about what to do by giving me direction; it also helps to build trust when you are able to lead and receive help from your squad, they want someone who's not going to keep getting them killed by being bull-headed and is willing to take a different approach to capturing points)... besides since i started squad leading i've gotten better almost everytime... now i have guys that i used to hop in their squads to give them help, doing the same for me now. When this kind of teamwork and sportsmanship take place the whole atmosphere of the game gets awesome and you find that things really start to work better on a whole. One final note... you'll find that inviting loners or ppl in single squads to join yours helps them realise they are more important in a squad than out there on their own dying constantly.

I offer a big SALUTE !! to all that have helped me in this game and keep doing so everytime i join a game and get on a mic

    Pink Floyd keyboardist Wright dies

Pink Floyd keyboardist Wright dies - CNN.com
LONDON, England (AP) -- Richard Wright, a founding member of the rock group Pink Floyd, died Monday. He was 65.

Pink Floyd's spokesman Doug Wright, who is not related to the artist, said Wright died after a battle with cancer at his home in Britain. He says the band member's family did not want to give more details about his death.

Wright met Pink Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason in college and joined their early band, Sigma 6. Along with the late Syd Barrett, the four formed Pink Floyd in 1965.

The group's jazz-infused rock and drug-laced multimedia "happenings" made them darlings of the London psychedelic scene, and their 1967 album, "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn," was a hit.

In the early days of Pink Floyd, Wright, along with Barrett, was seen as the group's dominant musical force. The London-born musician and son of a biochemist wrote songs and sang.

The band released a series of commercially and critically successful albums including 1973's "Dark Side of the Moon," which has sold more than 40 million copies. Wright wrote "The Great Gig In The Sky" and "Us And Them" for that album, and later worked on the group's epic compositions such as "Atom Heart Mother," "Echoes" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond."

But tensions grew between Waters, Wright and fellow band member David Gilmour. The tensions came to a head during the making of "The Wall" when Waters insisted Wright be fired. As a result, Wright was relegated to the status of session musician on the tour of "The Wall," and did not perform on Pink Floyd's 1983 album "The Final Cut."

Wright formed a new band Zee with Dave Harris, from the band Fashion, and released one album, "Identity," with Atlantic Records.

Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985 and Wright began recording with Mason and Gilmour again, releasing the albums "The Division Bell" and "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" as Pink Floyd. Wright also released the solo albums "Wet Dream" (1978) and "Broken China" (1996).

In July 2005, Wright, Waters, Mason and Gilmour reunited to perform at the "Live 8" charity concert in London -- the first time in 25 years they had been onstage together.

Wright also worked on Gilmour's solo projects, most recently playing on the 2006 album "On An Island" and the accompanying world tour.

Gilmour paid tribute to Wright on Monday, saying his input was often forgotten.

"He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognized Pink Floyd sound," he said. "I have never played with anyone quite like him."
As a Fan of Pink Floyd, I will miss him.
