The problem with Vegas is that while everyone would like to think it is centrally located and they will drive/fly in the end it will not happen. Do it in Texas, where most people are located, and those that are dedicated enough to make it to Vegas will make it to Dallas. Very few, unless they are in close driving distance to Vegas, will not make it there, but not Dallas.

We have a fair number of Cali people though, and Vegas flights are supposed to be cheap.

Actually, I won't be able to make this happen. I just have to much going on and I'm going to Kentucky here in a few weeks. Thanks for all of your input and I might revisit this later.

Was looking into a long-weekend in Vegas with my wife and airfare at its cheapest was $350+ per person round trip from Dallas. Hotels are way cheaper than airfare at this point.
