Thread: Im having a problem with my Voip in BF2 dont work!

Strangely enough, this suddenly happened to me as well. Two days ago everything was working fine. Last night, i get in game and no one can hear me. So i do a hardware test, and its fine. I try to test it in game and it doesn't respond. Also, it didn't work in my TS channel.

I tried another set tonight (not a usb set like my other one) in TS and it worked, so i loaded up SF and went to my Favorites, clicked on TTP and..... nothing. The background music reset and the server info sections went blank. So i click on TTP again, then join server... same thing. It wont let me on ANY server.

It looks like i need to do a reinstall before anything else. I don't have the time tonight so I'll try tomorrow evening.

This totally sucks.

Did either of you two recently install OR play PR?

If the answer is yes, go into the Audio options in BF2. Make sure that the Audio renderererer is correct for your setup (ie "hardware" or "software"). I had the same problem after I installed and played PR.I have a soundcard,so my setup for the BF2 rendererererer is "hardware".Installing PR changed it to"software",so my mic wouldn't work in nilla. As soon as I changed it back,it worked just fine again.

If that is the case,also make sure your crosshairs are not set to transparent,and auto reload is checked(both in the options screen on BF2).

Well, i exhausted the options outlined above, ended up doing a reinstall of SF and all seems to be working now. Got my fingers crossed that it stays that way.
