If the rest of the game's working and it only crashes when you open the BFHQ screen, my inclination would be to leave it be and check your stats/awards on one of the various 2142 stat sites there are. Oh, unless you also can't select unlocks. Then that might be a problem

Thought I might bring my old topic back to life instead of making a new one. Is there any way to force the anti-aliasing or anything else to make it look better? Or is that about the only thing I can force?
