Thread: Cancel the monthly matches?

I don't remember the last monthly match I attended. But I do remember coming home from a very late night on the town, and 1 hour before the match there was only one commander, so I took it, rigged the draft and won because I got a couple of guys that change games.

But the last few matches I have played haven't been that special (despite my 100% win ratio ). I play TTP becauseof the teamplay, but also because of the full scale war. 30 on 30 with armor and air assets and all that junk that make the game interesting. The last match I rememeber that was like that was the last one before Kel went to basic. That is a while ago.

I'm thinking they are not as popular anymore because of the low turnout. 3-4 hours of 9 vs 9, with virtually no strats, no toys and no real battle. How it got to be that way, I can't say, but like you say, Civil, we have the numbers to fill 'em 3 times over. It is a shame. Used to be the best game day of the month for me.

I think we need to get 2 commanders from day one, and get the trash talking going hard from the start. The BF2 vs CSS game filled up pretty fast on the bf2 side, and I would hate it to be because people want an easy ride?

I'll even volunteer to command the march match, if someone else steps up to command against me, and we can get started with the trash talk.

I promise a good time. I promise a win. Vote for me.

That goes without saying that I'll vote for you Wolverine.

We need to step it up and make some noise to get people back in these match's.

I forgot to say that I doubt any of those IRON bitches has the cojones to go up against my fierce and undefeated Wolverines!

Yeah, that's right, unless IRON takes the other seat for march match, you will all be, eternally, my bitches!

Seeing as how BF2 is now an aged game with added 3rd party gameplay... most people have moved on.

I have no idea what Roadhog has in store for next month but he said it will be different. Different is good... different will probably get more people to commit to the match. The same ole normal match just with different maps just doesn't entice people to come back from the other games.

Change up the map size, make it be a time crunch situation.. you have X amount of minutes on these 5 maps make the most of it.. with the amount of creative people within TTP I'm positive we can come up with some seriously awesome ideas that will fill the monthly battle roster more than they have been.

Like I said in a previous post... ADAPT...

Or we can just keep bouncing off of the door we are trying to get out of because we can't figure out how to turn the knob.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Road has up his sleeve, and even though it isn't up yet... I'll reserve.
