i lost my cd key for battle field 2142. is there anything i can do besides buy a new one they dont really got much games at the px.

I'm sure a mod will move it when it's not 2 in teh morning though.

Anyone, as for you're question, how exactly do you lose your CD key? Like, you uninstalled it, and you are trying to reinstall it, and you need a key? I think the only option IS to but another game, as you can sell a CD key to someone, and they can play online with a pirated copy, I think. So EA more then likely won't replace it, but I may be wrong.

Well, there is actually a way to get your CD key back should you lose it.

BUT, you must register your game on the EA support website PRIOR to losing the CD key. I also urge you to keep a digital copy of (maybe in the form of word documents?) all your CD keys.

If you registered your 2142 game on support.ea.com, you can still get your CD key:
-Simply go to support.ea.com.
-Login to your account, and go to "My Games" under "My Stuff" (After going through this several times to help others, I know that sometimes "My Games" won't appear, just wait a day)
-On your "Member Info" page, go to the "My Games" tab. If you registered your game, it'll be at the bottom of the page under "My EA Games"
-Enjoy having permanent and private access to your CD key.

If you HAVE NOT registered any EA game (I assume this works for all EA games), you can prevent this problem:
-Go to support.ea.com
-Login to your account, but this time go to "Register my Games" and register your EA game.
-Ensure that Registering your game worked, and use the steps mentioned in the first part of this post.

EA won't replace your CD key, that's what the ever so obscure "Register Game" thing is for. Stupid EA, being helpful at the same time, but also not helping.
