I call foul, I've been saying that for quite a long time around here. It's in several different posts I've made around here over the 2+ years I've been on these forums. Those are probably the most under used words on the forums and in the game.

I also pioneered the 'promoting myself to squad leader', since I got tired of being put in all the wrong situations and didn't like the way they were doing things. Where did you come from Are you trying to steal my ideals?? Well if you are, I'm okay with that and would like to welcome you to the rare breed club.

Some are meant to COMMAND, some are destined to SUPPORT {not just follow}, and some are meant to step out of the box and do something different by choosing to LEAD by example.

Great post by the way and BEWARE, there are those of us who will be right up there in the best squad leading department at the end of the map that you don't see that often but we can still get it done, you are not the only one who gets it. Too bad, we can't force those on the server into coming by the forums to read our ideals.

Note: there are times to attack, then there are times to defend; as a squad leader or commander it is your number one priority to notice when those times are necessary for your teams survival!!

yea, too bad every fuckin squad leader in BF2 never listens when the commander asks a squad to stay back and defend the north or south base (depending on what team you're on) in Mashtuur City.

...... I'm guessing I was not on the server, or in the maps in question, pertaining to your reference; because I've had guys leave my squads for choosing to defend or spend their time complaining about not attacking.

Maybe next time you should leave out the NONE, NOBODY, EVER stuff right behind my statements. You and I both know I'll defend, and anyone who's ever squaded up with me knows I'll defend even when it seems pointless and a mad slaughter house.

If I need to, I'll call in all my friends who have helped me stay and defend a place over the years on the server. It is a lost art of fighting though, I will agree to that bro.

Everyone seems to think it's about the kills, but the kills wont happen if you get shut out on a map because you didn't have the brass balls to make a choice for the team and choose to defend.

you probably haven't Bravo... But I explicitly ask everyone when I'm playing Mashtur:

How many times have you played this map? How many years have you seen this map in rotation? And you still don't get it? Defend the FREAKING main base where your UAV is, and you'll be fine...weather the first enemy attack behind enemy lines (usually via chopper or humvee) and then you can move out....there's no sense in fighting 2 fronts (and loosing mayor team assets), when you can easily pin one team to one side.

But, that's just me and my Mashtuur annoyance.
