If you're in it for the score, forget it...keep doing what you're doing. Unlike BF2142, BF2 doesn't reward the squad leader for leading. You may only get 10 points in a round if you're primarily serving as a mobile spawn point for your squad. Your greatest value as SL is being a mobile spawn point and your direct comm with the Commander. From what i gather though, everyone (admin's included), need to have a cup of shut-the-$%^-up, take a few to chill... - Bunni

Re: Squad Leader suggestions
I've seen Bravo on the server a little more the usual lately. Great guy to play with. When a command has squad leaders like mentioned on this post it rare that has to actually issue orders. Good squad leaders have well balanced squads for the mission on hand. They constantly look at the mini map and see where they are need or not needed.
One of the biggest mistakes I see newer squad leaders do is try to react to everything that he/she see's happening. If there is a tank, you don't need 5 people to spawn AT, if a key flag is under attack you don't need every squad to spawn there......In other words you have to have some faith in that the other squads on your team will handle it and sometimes you have to be the one to step into the situation. Using the mini map to evaluate it helps.

Re: Squad Leader suggestions
If I can get the PR server running like it needs to be, I'll play on the regular server again. I wont however look for you. A team is best served by having every squad with a squad leader that knows what they are doing supporting the team. The only real advice I even attempted to give was about actually letting someone else do the squad leading and to help them along. It's the best way to get it done. You put them in the driver seat and you help guide them.
If I have somehow managed to get under your skin, then so be it. I will never have to prove myself to you. The only reason for me to even play on the server would be the help the team and not my own ambitions, or to enjoy squading up with whatever players just so happen to join a squad I lead. I do know what I'm doing and those who have squaded with me, don't do it because they have too.
I'm still trying to figure out how me in your gun sights has anything to do with controlling the map play, or being a squad leader, or sharing with others in real time, in a real squad when the crunch is on.:3

Basically, just think about all the things you want out of a squad leader when you are simply a squad member, and incorporate that into your Squad Leader tactics.
Yes, communication is the key, but not just verbal. The use of your objective commands on the map are critical (especially to anyone joining your squad late)
