Re: Squad Leader suggestions
Sad thing is, this post should have never been derailed to begin with. What's really funny would be me knowing I was priming the server one day a while back with davecraze and actually invited him to the forums.
Oh well, unless this topic can manage to make a return to what it should have been, it just needs to be locked down.
I'll give it a few days to get righted and if that is not possible then this topic will receive a lock.
***We resume the topic at hand***
Cue Nemo, he has a nice link with what seems to be some really good information for getting people some real answers to how it gets done around here. I also believe that some of the links badprimer1 included early on, had some really good food for thought in them from guys I respect. I honestly believe that there is a lot of good information to be had around here. Either in the forums or by squading up with some really good guys. Each and every good squad leader on the server has their own methodology on how to squad lead and why. Take what ideas you want from whomever and try them to see if they work. I believe someone else already mentioned it. One last final note; don't be afraid to make a decision and don't be afraid to ask others their thoughts. Sometimes, certain people see things a little different than you do and it just might be helpful to the squad and team if you at least listen.****************11B*************** Look for Pathfinder75thB in TeamSpeak! ***************11B*****************

Re: Squad Leader suggestions
Hi all,
I have read this article with some interest and towards it inevitable closure some surprise at it's turn.
I do not really single out any individual as a bad squad leader simply because they put their best foot forward and lead. I join squads mainly because I enjoy the company of those there in........Or those that lead it do so without being a miserable bastard.
All in all I would say that the server in general has a higher quality about it in terms of putting together a squad that is balanced and focused.
I would therefore say that all the squad leaders on here have something to offer and the style in leadership may well suit some and not others.
I prefer an aggressive sl myself and one that sounds out what he wants. No nonsense stuff.

Re: Squad Leader suggestions
I have to agree with Potemkine...... Bravo is one of the people on TTP that I have always looked to as a Mentor. I always enjoy squading up with him because I Learn so much about SLing and his tactical methods. He is not the only one however, there are alot of great Squad Leaders on TTP. But I personally have learned alot and thats what makes me better as a Squad Leader. I for one am Always open for any insight that Veteran players share. Clintok is another Squad Leader that has had a huge Impact on how I play. The List could go on for Days of who is Inspirational.
I just wanted to add my two cents

The best squad leaders look for the best squad members. Before becoming a great SL, it helps to gain rep as a great squad member. Squad members look for great SL's and past great squad members to join up with. But more than anything, the best SL's make it a point to have fun, and make sure their squad members are having fun. Ultimately, the squad leader who finds the easiest way to cut through the enemy, and give his/her squad a bit of time with the enemy in their scopes, not themselves, is going to be the most appreciated.
Also understand that the squad leader is not the end of the line when it comes to information. He/she usually has a commander with a huge amount of knowledge about the battlefield. If a commander is willing ot help and use his mic, your squad should almost almost never fail.
in other words, maximizing your teamplay maximizes your leadership.
