Ok this will be the first time you guys,on the forums, will see me type the most clearest I have ever typed. SO here it goes.
What if there was like the most greatest game mode ever besides Titan on Battlefield 2142? I have thought of a really cool mode.
It is kind of like Search & Destroy but you can actually respawn(in combat arms you can't respawn after you die until the next round). Ok the goal of the mode is to destroy silo's instead of capturing them. PAC holds defense while EU attempts the attack to destroy the silo's, which are a threat to EU. Ok lets say there are probally 4-5 silo's to destroy on each map, but the only way to destroy the silo's is to place a certain amount of rdx on the silo after you have capped one of the silo's. But you can't destroy the silo's right away. There is a time limit you must hold the silo for against the defending team,or squad. As EU is attacking a silo the defending team/squad (PAC) can spawn on the silo but once EU has cleared the silo & capped it, they must hold the silo against PAC for 5 minutes. Do you think that is a good time or is it to long?
How can PAC take the silo back if they can not spawn on that previous silo any more? Do they spawn at another silo? No! Both teams will have a home base, just like in every other game mode in the game. PAC will be able to spawn back from their home base & attempt to get their silo back that they have lost. While PAC is attempting to recieve their silo back that they have lost EU can either stay to defend that silo or move on to the next silo, which i doubt that EU would do unless you are a noob.
Will their be a commander available & will he be able to use his artillery? Yes, duh! Acourse there will be a commander position available. There is no point of battlefield with out a commander. Also yes he will be able to use artillery.
What will happen if PAC fails to recapture the & EU succeeds? Well if EU succeeds & PAC fails, the silo's will blow up! Also EU will be able to spawn on the silo after it has been destroyed. PAC can recap the destroyed silo even do it is blown to pieces, so that they can have more spawn locations on the map.
Also for another idea of spawning i think it should be 2 extra flags you can capture to spawn on, so that EU or PAC dont have to spawn back at base everytime a soldier is killed.
If EU fails to destroy "ALL" silo's after the game time limit is up EU loose & PAC team wins. But if EU does destroy all silo's before the game time is up PAC loose & EU goes home & start another baby boom!
*QUICK NOTE*
Should it be TITANS or HOME BASE FLAGS THAT THE SOLDIERS SPAWN ON?

I would take your idea one step futher:
Eu would start with a Titan while Pac would have an Assault lines type main base.
Pac's job would be to hold the silos until EU's shields are down, then commence an attack on the EU titan.
EU's job would be to destroy all enemy silos and take possession of them. Once that is done capture the PAC base.
It would be an uphill battle for the EU as they wouldn't start with any armour until they start to capture and destroy some silos.

Yeah.. i get like that sometimes. Sorry for jumping the gun! I didn't realize that you intended to peruse this idea by asking your friends and I thought that that group would be the best as they would have the know how and background to do such a thing. That is if they want to do it.
I have a suggestion though for your idea. I think it would be best to not have the silos get blown up when the EU take the silo. Simply have it not fire. that way the PAC still have a chance to sneak behind the main EU lines and restart the attack on the EU titan shields. Otherwise I can see the game turning into a constant assault on the PAC main base. Also, I imagine it may take a lot of work for modder's to make the silo blow up. Maybe it would be an easier task for them to simply not fire when in EU possession?
I really like this concept and would love to see it come to fruition!
