    BF 2142 Map Concept...

    I've had this idea about a new battlefield for BF 2142.

    A CTF/Conquest/Titan Assault map, with 4 Titans arranged in a circle, or one for each point of a compass (North, South, East & West).

    Two Titans are Neutral with flags to capture just like the Wake Island map. The other two are Normal Shielded Titans with Consoles and Core rooms to be destroyed.

    The Team Titans are both within pod range of the NT (Neutral Titan), but not with each other. And the NT's are in range of each other, but the only way to reach the Team Titans is via the NT's.

    There would be NO ground attack possible, have the Titans over an Ocean, with no land to be found. Fall off the Titan and you may as well suicide, unless a buddy can haul your ass up using an air transport.

    Capturing the Neutral Titan Flags will direct remote missile Silos to aim and fire at the opposing teams Titan Shields, hence the CTF value. Holding one NT commands half the silos, holding both directs all silos. Once one Enemy Titans Shields are down, podding can commence from either NT.

    All Titans will have their full compliment of air ships, except, NT's will not have them until one side has captured all points on the NT. This should provide ample opportunity for dogfights, and the ground pounders will have plenty to do capturing and holding NT's. To take it one step further, maybe the NT's Guns will only function when it has been captured as well.

    It's just an idea, but I'd like to hear your opinions and maybe possible improvements.

    Interesting concept. I like the idea.

    A couple of suggestions;
    Make a few partially submerged Titans with the pods disabled so that they are floating AA guns and flags. The only way off would be by transport or GS. That would make the heat of battle there pretty harsh. And if possible maybe the AA’s could have lower damage/destroy thresholds to allow them to be destroyed while a transport is coming in quicker with the side mount guns. You could have land, like a cove, surrounding the area, but only accessible by flyover and not on foot to help add to the image/feel.

    It sound interesting, if you could make it. But there's that IF and COULD and the unspoken IF EA ACCEPTS THE MAP IDEA. Now if someone could make a trial version to try on the match server (which is unranked?) you might have something.

    I like this a lot!

    I watch the intro vid when you first start the game, and the scene where they're in the titan is epic.

    Maybe the console would all have to be activated to make the NT fully functional.
    Like reversing the order of things.

    That's a pretty interesting idea. The only thing that I'd change is that there should be an odd number of neutral titans, or one should be more valuable than the other. Generally, if the teams are pretty even, each team is going to be holding one of the neutrals, so if they both represent an equal number of silos, then both shields will drop at the same time, and it'll probably degrade into "hunker down until the shields go down."

    what if there was a third NT but it was the one crashed and partialy submerged. being damaged maybe make it do less damage? Another of the wall Idea what if you had to manualy luanch the Silo? If it had a charge time but wouldn't launched till someone manually launched it? that would add a whole new aspect.
