    But this doesn't do anything. Either way you have to disconnect manually or let PB do it.
    Sure, but manually reconnecting at the start of the map before the round officially starts would be preferred to getting kicked 5 minutes into a gunfight, no?

    It doesn't help the problem, but it helps your team. For example, I will check that before every round after a map load, and if it is going happen to me I wont jump in any air assets, or I'll disconnect and reconnect. I know this problem only effects me on this server, I tested this theory out on FCW for three hours (it was a long three hours :P) and I was not kicked.

    A do see what your guys are saying. Really for me I should just automatically disconnect ever 2 rounds and reconnect. I get it ever other round no matter how long I play. I really do play less because of it. Last night it happened and I just said fuck it. More than once I have almost uninstalled and just given up on the game. It really makes the game not fun. By the time I get back in all the squads have formed and I end up in a squad of 3 with no one talking. The to reasons I play this game are friends and teamwork which normally go out the window after connecting after a kick.

    Re: PB General authentication failure kick ?

    I'm in concurrence with oaklander, et al. this is the only server I have ever had this issue with, and it's fairly consistent. one of two things seemed to happened when the kicks started occurring...

    1) server host(s) changed
    and
    2) started streaming pbbans

    therein, my theory is that there is too much going on server-side, either process/application-wise and/or connection-wise. and it can be said all day that "the server is only at 5% utilization amongst 10 server instances, its not the server!"...but the 25% of people getting kicked every map change, along with the lagged/delayed round endings (that didnt used to happen either) tells me otherwise so imo, it's either the server and/or the server's connection.

    solution (other than coaxing theplanet to bring their uber boxes and connections back online for hosting :P )? unfortunately I don't know, as I'm not familiar with the bf2/pb/pbbans gamut. are there any pb and pbbans/stream tweaks? such as setting pb to wait until 5min has passed before authenticating clients (since the predominant kick message is for "authentication failed")? and/or set pbbans/streams to check/stream (whatever it does) at a later/longer interval and not at the beginning a map/round when most "activity" is happening server-side (map load, client connects, etc)? was pbban streams ever trial disabled just to take it out of the equation?

    This happens also to my friend,this doesn't happen on any other server,does this happen to anyone else & what is the fix ?

    I've find the fix,it must have something to do with punkbuster & Windows XP,i installed BF2 on Windows Vista & no problems,but i hate Vista coz its slow & many things don't work properly,so i scrapped XP & Vista,moved to Windows 7 Release Candidate = no problems whatsoever/fast/smooth/& everything works

    Here is the link for the Windows 7 Release Candidate,product keys & downloads available until next month/scroll about 3 quarter way down for product versions;
