Thread: Giving it a go

Well I decided to give BF2142 a go. I'll preface my play by saying its been a LONG time since I played a BF game. Finally got everything loaded and I should see you guys on the servers. Please feel free to yell at my ass and coach me up.

After I played 1 round of single player I decided I would give multi a try. Joined up and jumped in a squad with this guy.

Maybe I joined the wrong squad or did something dumb because he immediately kills me with his knife. Is this normal?

Team killing is absolutely not normal, if someone intentionally teamkills you for any reason, call for an Admin. Accidental team kills happen, intentional ones are grounds for a kick if not a ban from the server.

If something like that happens again, take a screen shot and put it in the BF2142 Problem Player Complaints thread.

That being said, welcome to the server, squad up with ][5th][, VTRX, or {HRD} players, they'll do their best to help you learn the ins and outs of the game.

7:00 pm central time is the usual priming time for the 2142 server, hop on and help us start it up. Priming'll allow you to get used to vehicles and different kits with the help from another player.

Welcome to the year 2142 and ditto on what winters and walker said. I would say you were intentional team killed since it is very hard to do with a knife and if he was in your squad he should have explained himself if it was an accident.

One thing though, if you jump on before the sever starts and help prime it most of the time anything goes because no score or stats are counted. But once the game starts its back to TPP business as usual. See ya on the battlefield.

I know, I didn't mention FRIGGIN', {BD}, or [IRON] because the above are usually on the server more and are easier to spot. Not to mention all of the unclanned regulars of the server.

Able - welcome to the Future. Good to see another Teamplayer joining us. As has been said - look around for the familiar faces and squad up with them (mainly the names you see plastered all over this forum are the regs, some clan and many who are not). Good peeps all of them.
