I think it's Frostbite, a newer engine with some distructable environment capabilities. I saw videos of cars crashing through walls, trees getting blown up, etc.

Been playing this on 360, it's pretty insane. Lots of "Oh, shit, did that just happen?" moments, like seeing a plane get shot down, only to crash into a giant fuel tank next to a guard tower, blowing the shit out of the tower in a giant fireball and sending the sniper inside it flying about 100 yards away.

I can't wait to try this game (I only play on PC). The smaller scale maps and teams is a major bummer, I agree.
