Don't know that I've ever seen someone roll.

As for the active camo - I find it really easy to spot and love sniping cloakers cause I know they are bitching about it when it happens. Makes me smile

In BF2... the roll animation was caused by if you were strafing right or left at the time you went prone. It didn't affect your hitbox any, and there's no perceived roll by the person doing it. It's only visible to a third party observer.

Yeah, the cloaking thing is one of the most useless items in the game. Not only do you see the motion blur, but you hear them from a mile away.

Cloaking has its uses. If you're not looking for them, and it's noisy enough in battle it can be effectively used.

It's just such a distinctive sound, I can't say how often I don't hear it, for obvious reasons, but I feel like I always hear it.

Actually I know how to do it. Actually im do it tonight. & have someone to record it if they have xfire

Cloaking does have it's use, since many of the newer players don't have the experience like we do.

It's great in dark parts of the map, where you can't see that well.

I love jumping into the middle of squads, decloaking, knife everyone, and then recloaking. It works even better when someone on their team is cloaking, and the hostiles assume it's their team mate.

When you're cloaking, make sure you take out the support hostiles first, since they can link the squad to your presence.

Other than that, I love killing recon that think they're invisible.

Know your enemy well ... muahahaha!
