Patch 1.5 IS HERE!!!!

Unclear. Sorry, I don't really have any news. Currently our server provider is trying to determine the causes of the intermittent box crashes we've been having. Then they will start working on the patch. Without a stable server we can't do much with a patched game... :3

Thanks Arreo. We all know you guys are all over this,and we will be in a much better spot for it. Today and tonight are kind of lost anyway....the patch is huge,and many people will not have it dl'd and installed,so this may be the perfect time to fix the problem. Best of luck!

I'm experiencing the same, but it's to be expected from a fresh torrent. I think in the long term it will still be much faster, considering the batch as only been out for a few hours and there are going to be people coming home from work just beginning to download.

It's a shame they didn't just provide a straight up .torrent file so people could continue to seed.

I switched over to Fileplanet. After the initial 31 minute public server wait, it downloaded in ~ 2 hours.

Currently maxing out my bandwidth (500kB down) on a torrent. This is what torrents were developed for.

Not sure if I'm allowed to post links to TPB, but the one I'm using is hosted there put up by fullcontactwar, currently I'm seeing 32 seeds, 159 peers. Another torrent was posted on the EA site in the comments section: www.gameupdates.org/details.php which appears to have a worse S:P ratio (48:384)

Both appear to be right file, but I will check if the MD5 is the same as what the Fileplay mirror says: 513a415dbca69f995e866a9dc7cbd305

Something tells me that if the new maps were on another server, then that server would be dead.

I can't wait for the new maps on the full rotation server because I haven't played them and to be honest, BF2 needs a breath of fresh air.
