Thread: Patched, added SF, now PB borked...

This might be in another thread already, sorry if it is...

I built a new HD image. Installed BF2 and patched up to 1.5, everything is working good.

Added SF this morning, then reinstalled the 1.5 patch after adding SF. All from disk (no DL manager).

Now every time I try to join a SF game online I get the PB kick for "revert your verison to play..." message. Regular BF2 still works fine.

I've added the pbsec file to my directory and I have DLed and run pbsetup. Still no love.

Idears?

I tried 3 different SF servers. I thought I had the boxes checked for same mod or same version.

Only reason I was after it was I thought playing SF is what unlocked the second set of rifles....

I'm shocked nobody mentioned this already, but I think you need to reapply patch 1.41 after installing SF and then patching to 1.5 again. If that doesn't work then do a fresh install of Vanilla BF2, then SF, then apply 1.41 then 1.5 again.

And make sure you delete your profile folder in 'My Documents'.

Ahhh, you da man Alpha. That was it. I didn't noodle through that 1.5 needed to be on 1.41. So patched then patched again and it is all good.
