Long range fire
I have long been interested in using tank guns as artillery and recently I noticed that the RPGs seem to have a ballistic path and might be able to be used as improvised "quassam" rockets.
Many people know that if you fire the grenadier straight up you will get an airburst about 50m in front of you about 20-30m up and it seems the RPG acts the same way only w/o the timed detonation of the 40mm round.
I was priming on fallujah and spawned in a cache that was locked in.
So I started firing straight up with the RPG and I noticed the rocket coming back down but not actually hitting the ground.
I would like some volunteers to help me see if the RPGs can be fired with any effectiveness from 500- 1000m distance.
The idea would be to get all the available RPGs on a map, next to a cache and rocket the US main from long range using a spotter near the main to adjust the fire.
It may not be a game winning tactic but it seems like fun and it's a great way to pass the time while priming.

This guy and one other were doing this on Al-Basrah awhile ago.. Its effectiveness was arguable. Did manage to knock out a truck and killed the occasional soldier though. They were doing it from the Large village to the South of British main and had a spotter sitting just south of it.
