Thread: How do commander points work?

It always seems to me that the longer a game goes, the higher command score I get. Perhaps it has something to do with captured CPs, or flag defends, or your minion's team scores...

Other than that, I have no clue. I just rack up the command points, as everybody on the server this past weekend can attest. :P

commanders also used to get punishes for arty tk's too... :P


of course youd get more points the longer a round goes, because your team score more points thus raising the team's average score

I remember them good ol days......Try throwing that arti down without hitting your teamates or you get a good ol TEAMKILL.......I even wrote a thread in the forums to the Squad Leaders to control their Squadmates ......IF I say artiller going down on Hotel Flag,,,,Relay that message to your Squad....etc.....
Sure enouph though, here goes this guy thats not in a Squad, doesn't look at his map, Doesn't have a clue whats going on period, Runs right in there under the Arti sign and BOOOOOOOM ! ! ! ! .....and yes, He punishes you for his STUPIDITY.....I remember those days when the Commander got charged for Arti TK's.....good times and good old days

ah, yes...and the attack heli tv missle range was double, allowing you to fire outside of the clip/view range, and even enough time to catch up to a jet :lol: good times, good times... :P

Any commander cannot make points while being commander in the usual sense. Capturing flags, assiting, killing and team actions will not give any points at all to the commander. Still they can be helpful. Like it can help to capture a flag, or be an assistant to capturing one so it works faster, but in general, try to let your team do the work, as this is what gives you your score.

So since nothing gives you point the usual way, how do you get a commander score? The basic definition is, that you get the average of all score of all of your teammembers while you are commander. As an easy example. If your team is 10 people, and they all togehter made 200 points, your score would be 20 points (200/10=20). If you get to be commander in the middle of the game, it will only count the score they made during your time as commander.

If your team wins a round, you get your commander score doubled. In the above example, if you made 20 points as commander so far and now the round is over and your team won, you get 40 points. You will see that it says 40 already on the end of round overview, with the score tables. So the number you see there, is the points that you get, they are already doubled. Awards that require a commander score on a globla scale, they can be reached trhough those doubling scores. If you have to have a commander score in a round, that has to be reached before the double bonus.

no wonder i average like 140points when there's only like 10 people in the server total and the games last the true 45 minutes....nice find guy.
