    Change the line that reads:

    Code:
    AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 0

    Code:
    AudioSettings.setVoipBoostEnabled 1
Save, close. Mic boost in BF2 is now enabled (and will stay so), regardless of what the in-game menu says (it will still be greyed out and unchecked).

See if you have regained the power of coherent speech.

Set. I'll test it tomo, when I can actually get in the servers

The 'test' in the audio tab doesn't work 99% of the time. Best thing is to just key your mic and ask if folks can hear you in game. That's the ultimate test.

USB mics are really no different than any other mic. They show up as an audio device, just like a sound card. The key is, you need to have your USB mic plugged in BEFORE you start BF2. The rest of the issues have been pretty well covered by the rest of the good folks here.

His mic works, he was just so low that you had to have the game at 50% volume to even come close to hearing his faint womanish voice.

After which I believe he turned on the boost option and was audible to me at least...
