Not at all.....in fact there are many players here who play both. The only thing you need to be aware of,is after you play PR and want to go back to Vanilla,be sure to put your auto-load back on,and readjust your crosshairs (both are found on the basic Options in the game). Otherwise....you should have no problems at all....give PR a shot.

Why would anyone ever want to go back to BF2? I mean, that game was epic when it first came out and what it tried to achieve was noble, but PR is just damn amazing. Playing BF2 is like racing in a go-kart, fast and fun, but nothing like PR, which is like racing in a Formual 1 car, fast but complicated, fun but intense and fully satisfying.
