I find it fun as what it basically is, an alpha test map for some snow features.
You realize that COMMANDER is asking for our feedback for a reason? This thread is intended to field suggestions/comments not bicker about this or the other ... or even to once again let people know this was not a fully fleshed out map.

Agree with Demos. I love the snow. When I hop into the snow map, hearing what sounds reminiscent of stepping in slop/swamp/mud at first detracts from the experience. The snow maps on DoD:S have the sound right I think.

Also, it seems kind of odd to have bags/equipment that is green as cammo. They kinda stick out.

The map as a whole is nice. Unfortunately I have not had the joy of a full server with it, but the terrain was great. I could actually drive almost anywhere I wanted on the map so access wasn't a problem. There are some nice places for FOBs as well.

It might be interesting to have a partially frozen lake … extremely slick … but then this is a touch that may be more than some might like. I don't recall where, but I know I have played a game where falling into water on the snow map caused damage ...

I would like to know if it is possible to have more debris fly up when a projectile hits the snow or even the ability to track people in the snow. Again, perhaps more than what is possible.

Wind – wind sounds up on the peaks would likely be worthwhile and add to the ambience.

I don't recall finding any caves ... this would be a nice touch also.

Agree with the crate drop observations. Although I did find enough places that worked okay.

Finally, it was fun to have a snow map.
Best assessment yet.... This is more of what I am looking for guys... Give me some feedback please... It helps when we assist the map makers... Your ideas and feedback will count and you may see "your idea" in one of the next maps soon.

    Re: Operation Snow Storm

I tried it on a different server this evening (only 1 server running it at the time had any population at all!) I thought it was really fun to get around on, but the tracked AA for the brits has a hard time getting around.
I also could hear explosions from the attack helo rockets striking the ground around me, but had no idea where, since there's no feedback with visual representation of the strike.
Overall, a fun map, but I can see how it's just a test. I'd have to agree with what Amador put down.

Change is always good but honestly I played it on tg with enforced teamplay best fun I had in a while.. It seems to be overplayed and should be an occasional map.

    Re: Operation Snow Storm

I liked the map. It requieres a lot of tyeam work. Driving was hard at first but I found a way to get apc to go up the hills.
Its a good map for a sniper crew and also for an attack chopper with a good spotter.
The sliding crates are a problem but I have found a way to build before they slide out of sight. Requires good team play. My only problem is the amer m16 optical sights are worthless.I cannot kill anyone with it.Was next to bravo,I mean right next to him and it took 4 shots to kill him at point blank range.
I agrere that the con points should have a marker to zero in on.
I think this is a good map for wait and ambush from.

Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but there is no warmup time on the British vehicle guns. I haven't tried the Chinese side yet.

Pretty sure there's a python fix for that.

Yup there is, but doesn't seem like it has been applied correctly on the server.
