I pray for PR stability
Well since I loaded windows 7 x64 I've had the worst time playing this game...major lag (mainly when ingame VoiP is going)....slowly gets worse as the game goes on. All other games run better than they did when in XP, just not this one. Never had problem while in XP.
So, I grabbed a 40gig HDD that been collecting dust a loaded XP up on it just to install PR. Will be on later to see if I have better luck.
I think it's my XFI gamer sound card. I don't seem to have good results when I'm under vista or 7...the drivers are just crappy...... I think Creative gave up on good support for Vista and 7 for my card. When under XP I get some of the best sound performance I've heard...go fig.
anywhoo I'll be flexin some PR tonight, and hopefully I can stay more the 20min.

Re: I pray for PR stability
I could not get my X-Fi to work in PR on anything above medium. Otherwise I had the exact problems you are describing. If you aren't on medium, then get it changed and see how it works. If it doesn't act like it did anything. Simply go into the Profiles Folder and delete the audio.con file and when you load the game it will re-initialize the sound drivers so that you can get it corrected.

Re: I pray for PR stability
There are some issues with VOIP in general with windows 7. Google search for lagging and VOIP and you'll find a fix that removes much of the lag and some VOIP problems.
Basically the VOIP gets backlogged somehow and just EATS away at processing power... on top of that you hear it late too.

Re: I pray for PR stability
I'm referring to the Audio settings in game being set to X-Fi, but set to medium instead of high or ultra high. If you set the in game audio to high or ultra high you will clipping, lag, and overall piss poor performance.
I do run my video settings at medium with the view distance set to long.****************11B*************** Look for Pathfinder75thB in TeamSpeak! ***************11B*****************
