    =FCW= Commander

Yesterday there was a =FCW= commander on Wake Island on the US side that was absolutley great. As usual on Wake the US was trying to capture the airfield. We were behind on tickets big time and it appeared that we were going to lose. I noticed that we as the US had captured all the flaggs and were killing ourselves trying to get the airfield.

I made a suggestion to this commander and he hopped all over it like a June bug . I told my squad what we were going to do, this commander relayed to the other squads what to do and we watched the tickets bleed. The result was we did not capture the airfield...but we won the game.

This was a perfect example of a commander working with his squads for a winning result. I just wanted to give kudos to this Commander for the way he worked that battlefield.

I do not know his name other than he had =FCW= in front of it.

    Well done!

For Wake Island, it would be the PLA, not MEC. PLA doesn't bleed even if it holds only one flag on that map. What often happens though is if PLA sets up good defenses and spreads out, they can beat the US on ticket loss if the US just throws itself blindly into those defenses.

Yes it is possible. I'll be it not like other maps but you use the small advantage. Let the chinese come to you instead of going into airfield and getting torn up. They want those flags back so you get the kills instead of them getting them by trying to take airfield.

too many times I have seen the US team completely get blown out because all they focus on is the airfield. Good to see a commander listen to strategy.

    Re: =FCW= Commander

We were down by 80 tickets or more....we had all the flags except the airfield. I could tell by looking at the map when UAV was put up that there was no way we were going to get the airfield without a lot of carnage and us losing more tickets.

I suggested to the =FCW= commander that we play defense and let his artillery blast them to hell and back. That is exactly what he ordered all the squads to do.....hold back and let them eventually come to us. By the time the MEC side realized what we were doing we were ahead in the ticket count and eventually won the game.

When we held back there was a definite ticket bleed and then you add the commander's artillery on top of that...well it was a good strategy. One other thing.....as a squad we spread out so the artillery of the MEC was less successfull.

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!
