Thread: Recon Invisible Kit Perk

The only time I use Camo would be to try to sneak up on vehicles. The problem with it has been mentioned, loud noise when you un-cloak, UAV's, and you're quite visible when you run through any kind of smoke.

Whenever I squad lead, I'm using the Infantry Drone, so cloaked recon have that little red diamond on them anyway. I'd say go with APM and RDX. Unless you're Odin. (#2 world with the Zeller) He goes cloak and APM all the time.

Sometimes, you don't want to hide the APMs. Leave them right out in the open so the people will see them and crouch to get by. It gives you a free Lambert or Pistol kill and can be used to effectively slow down enemy advances.

I use active camo all the time. All you have to know is when to do it. You certainly arn't going to be free if you walk in front of them or within sound range.

You are supposed to use active camo from a far away range out of their hearing, or when they are distracted by various sounds and sights.

Personally I have escaped MANY occasions using active camo, running away around a corner and then run back the other way when they come to you.

I always run RDX and active camo, I rarely use APMs for 2 reasons:
1. It is too time consuming
2. It is too easy to get around

Personally, I set up my kits with the idea of using 1 support item that I will most likely rarely use but saves my ass when I use it, and 1 useful item that is used constantly.

Active camo is very useful, especially on berlin
