Air support
Ok, I've done plenty of ground pounding to know my way around BF2 land(cept I still havn't really learned the maps). I know I can't fly(I tried that, and...yea) but I'd love to be a support gunner. Who should I squad up with? What Jets\Helios should I look out for? I don't intend on learning to be a pro, just enough to get the understanding of it in case I'm needed(it's also cause I'm writing an article, and wanna get into all aspects of BF2)
I don't have a whole lot of time to learn(classes start soon, and I'd like to be at least almost done with my article by that time(damn it's hard to type with ice hands...)) So if you see me squad with you, you better give me a crash course(and sorry if I get you killed )

Re: Air support
squad up with ranger or steve sazeus or lt. dan or furioso gato...they can show you how to gun in a helo.
In a bomber, it's not that hard...you'll go up a few times and get the hang of it...it's quite simple...get a good line up on a target, click and let the missile go, guide into the target and it'll lock soon enough...even if it doesn't you'll probably hit the target.

Re: Air support
Don't go the way of the dark side, once you get all cozy and comfy in the cockpit and realize that far fewer things can shoot back at you you'll hang up your boots
Luckily there are a number of great pilots and gunners to learn from here. You'll be in good hands - just let them know you are learning and get on the same squad channel as your pilot / gunner to coordinate on VOIP and you should be set to go.

Re: Air support
Yea I can't be an air guy. I don't have the eyes for it. Spirit kept telling me to shoot the guy in the bush, and I didn't know who he was looking at. I got some good time in today, and was doing pretty good. Got 2 badges as well
I'll be up and down from time to time, but I'm a ground pounder at heart. I'd rather be in your face.
